Can I get deported in canada by commiting minor crimes like shoplifting?I'm just a permanent residence

Where I don't claim any extended knowledge of Canadian law I can say this i possible. Theft (shoplifting is theft) is a crime of moral turpitude which qualifies it for possible deportation or non renewal of VISA
